Before I can really start my journey I have to go home to mom and show her Jumbo.
But first Hau blocks my way!
He must be my rival of the game and he sends out a Rowlett to fit me. I send out Jumbo and take out his Rowlett with two attacks!
After I win my bag glitters and I realize that it looks surprisingly like a watermelon...
Then the Kahuna totally just steals the stone that I got after being saved by Tapu Koko and says he'll give it back.
I bet the old man is gunna try and sell it for some quick cash and say he lost it...
When I get home I have a sudden sickening felling that I'm turning into my mother. This happens when her Meowth and my Jumbo meet for the first time.
Sorry... it's because I got a cat as well. I rolled a three. I got Litten.
I started with a Litten in my last playthrough, which is nice, because I know how to use it.
I go to sleep and the next day rolls around.
The doorbell rings and Kukui busts through the door again without waiting for me to answer. He wants me to follow him to Route 1, which is strange because I'm on Route 1 already techincally.
I head after him and he shouts, "Pretend you're using Agility!"
He teaches me how to catch Pokemon and sends me on my way! He also tells me to make my way to a festival, but finally I can train a little and catch a new addition to my team!
Being Route 1 and that I have not captured anything here, I can catch the first Pokemon that I run into!
I head straight for the grass and...
It's a Pikipek! I used this for a while in my last playthrough as well. It's pretty good too!
I catch the level three 'mon and name him Chestnut!
With a team of Jumbo and Chestnut we go training and fight our first real battle, which Chestnut beats the Ratatta in two Pecks.
We fight another trainer battle, which involves a Caterpie and it goes down in a single Peck.
Pikipek is doing pretty well!
At this point Chestnut is level 8 and Jumbo is level 10. I finally have made my way to the festival. There are some crazy island bongos going on in the music.
The Kahuna comes over to me and heals my Pokemon and then goes into a tirade about how we more or less worship Tapu Koko on this island and that we have this festival for it.
What happened to Arceus?!
It's Hau versus WhiteMistake again at the festival, but this time he has a second Pokemon!
He sends out Pichu and I send out Chestnut. His Pichu is faster and uses Charm, which normally would've been a problem, except I used Echoed Voice, which hits for just shy of half damage. Pichu counters with a Tail Whip, but I already had a second more powerful Echoed Voice sent over, which knocks out Pichu.
Next up is his Rowlett, just because I'm scared about having a big hit on Chestnut, I send out Jumbo. Jumbo uses Ember, which nearly knocks out Rowlett and Rowlett hits me with a Leafage. I follow-up with another Ember and badabingbadaboom.
I won!
As a reward the Kahuna gives me my stone back... BUT HE BROKE IT.
It's now a bracelet. i would have rather had the stone...
Then all of a sudden everyone is talking about me taking some sort of island challenge, which is NOT my Nuzlocke Challenge so I don't care.
I head home again and interrupt my mom, who is saying, "Honey, I'm home." to our Meowth.
I leave them alone and head to bed for the day, even though I feel like my blonde female self has only been awake for a couple hours.
