Time for another Whitemistake Nuzlocke Challenge. The stakes are high. The grammar is low. What else can you expected from the almost annual Nuzlocke Challenge from yours truly?
I have yet to successfully complete these challenges. The first time I got all the way to the Elite Four and lost. The second time... well... you guys didn't even see how it turned out because life got in the way and I never finished the posts! But I bet you can't guess what I did!
So here I go again in hopes of finding happiness and meaning in my Pokemon life.
I shall remind you of the general rules of a Nuzlocke Challenge.
Number one.
If a Pokemon faints in battle, it is declared dead and must be released immediately (or as soon as possible). Straight forward and easy enough to understand.
Number two.
You may only catch the first Pokemon that you run into in each area. Here's an example. I've already been on Route 1 and captured a Pokemon. If I run into any more on Route 1, I cannot catch them. Even if the one I caught on Route 1 has died.
Number three.
I must nickname all of the Pokemon I capture. It's supposed to make you bond with your 'mons more.
Those are the big three. After that it becomes house rules for me.
Number four.
No experience share allowed. It's cheap and levels things up quickly. I'm supposed to be making the game harder not easier.
Number E.
In lieu of Experience Share, there will be no items allowed inside of battles, except for items that are being held by a Pokemon (berries are okay as long as they are being held). This doesn't make the game easier or harder, but shows that I'm playing the game strategigorically.
Number six.
All choices must be made randomly. Either by asking a random person, dice roll, coin flip, groundhog day style, etc. This also includes nicknames, so throw some in the comments if you want and I'll use them in the order that they are received.
Number seven.
No legendaries. They are super powerful and there are some that I can get just by using a bunch of repels. So none of those. Sorry Solgaleo.
Number eight.
This is more of an announcement. For those of you who have read my other Nuzlocke Challenge's may remember that I could ignore the first Pokemon I saw in each area if I had already captured it. Well... no longer. I must capture it.
BUT
I may take ONE. AND ONLY ONE. Duplicated Pokemon and Wondertrade it.
This means I will receive a random Pokemon from someone in the world and whatever Pokemon I receive is the replacement. That means I could potentially receive the same Pokemon or even a legendary. So I must be careful with who I trade off.
Number last rule.
No trading outside of the previous mentioned rule. Trading gives Pokemon an experience boost making them grow faster. It makes the game easier, which is why I am only allowing myself one trade. So no trading in the GTS, no in-game trades with NPCs and no KFC's either.
I will most likely have to make some other decrees and vows as I play, but those are the rules. I will stick to them as I play Pokemon Sun...
...which is probably the easiest and most disappointing pokemon game ever made...
